A Taste of the Nineties

pinoywatchdog-pinoyrockfest

During the 90’s, the Philippine music scene was in bloom.  The mainstream success of the Eraserheads opened the airwaves to bands like Rivermaya, Yano, and Parokya ni Edgar.  For those who did not grow up in the Philippines or not attuned to the music scene, these names and the ones that followed are probably obscure to their ears.

Fear not people, for Shadow Inc. Entertainment is bringing the 90’s Manila sound to Los Angeles on September 8, 2012.  The show dubbed “Pinoy Rock Fest: Dekada 90 – Unang Yugto” features The Youth, Gary Ignacio of Alamid, Siakol, and Glenn Jacinto of Teeth; Loonie, Filipino MC, supports the 90’s brigade of rockers in their Los Angeles takeover.

Filipino-American bands opening for “Pinoy Rock Fest” are Mayday, Project State: Unknown, Lost in Amerika, and DJ Mouth.

For tickets, contact Billy, 323.201.1029, or Shadow Inc., 310.868.9456.

Beyond the Stars Palace is located on 417 ½ N. Brand Boulevard, Glendale, CA 91203.

Show starts at 7pm.
