“Anyone who makes a donation to Sagip Kapamilya for the benefit of the flood victims will get Free Admission to Pistahan sa CBS Studios,” Gandi Villareal and Mutch Carino, the organizers and producers of Pistahan sa CBS Studios, told Robbie Fabian, president of ABS-CBN Foundation International.
ABS-CBN Foundation will be receiving all the donations at the gate and not us. No one else will be handling all the money but the foundation, according to Mutch Carino.
Making a donation to ABS-CBN Foundation International’s SAGIP KAPAMILYA is indeed perfect because the foundation can easily mobilize the transfer of disaster relief funds and donations to those who are need. Through Sagip Kapamilya, our kababayans who desperately need immediate relief from the disaster brought about by the devastating floods and torrential rains will get the help they need, whether it’s food, medicine, clothing and/or emergency shelter.
Various fund-raising events are being organized by community groups to gather throngs of people in one place so they can make a donation for the benefit of our disaster-stricken kababayans. But it costs money to rent a venue as well as organize and gather talent that will lure people to attend and donate.
Pistahan sa CBS Studios is already an organized event that offers non-stop entertainment from 11 am to 7 pm on Saturday and Sunday, August 25 & 26, 2012 at the CBS Studio Center in Studio City. That makes Pistahan sa CBS Studios a perfect vehicle that can draw a lot of people who are willing to make a donation for the flood victims.
“Through this partnership of Sagip Kapamilya and Pistahan sa CBS Studios in raising funds for the flood victims, people will get to enjoy 2 days of fun, food and music for free just by making a donation to Sagip Kapamilya at the gate,” added Mutch Carino, Pistahan producer. “It’s a simple as that!”
Bernardo Bernardo, a multi-awarded actor, comedian, and director, will be hosting the event with Liza Dino, who recently won a Best Actress award from the Manhattan International Film Festival.
Patricia Javier, Miguel Vera, Djhoanna Garcia, Ivy Violan, Ed Nepomuceno, Anna Nepomuceno, Joseph Gelito, Jo Awayan, Malou Toler, and Christine Love will lead nearly fifty acts and talents who will be providing non-stop entertainment for the two-day festival that is designed to captivate both the Filipino community and an international audience.
There will also be performances from the Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts which will be led and directed by Boy Lizaso, who will also be presenting a Fashion Show of Barong Tagalog and Filipiniana dresses.
On Saturday night (August 25th) from8:00pm to1:00am, everyone will get to enjoy THE YELLOW PARTY – a summer dance party under the stars. A top-rate live band featuring April Velasco together with DJ Erik, DJ Jun and DJ Charles will be providing the dance music for the evening. A bikini show featuring hot and sexy models that will be onstage to show off the latest designs in bikinis as they fit their fabulous body figures. Admission is $20 each for the Yellow Party.
The Launch of the Search forSouthern California’s Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013 will also be a highlight of the Yellow Party. It will feature a mini-reunion of former Mutya ng Pilipinas titleholders and runners-up, as well as beauty queens and candidates from Miss Asia-USA, Miss Beauty of the Philippines, Miss Globe Ambassador, Miss U.S. Philippine Expo and other pageants.
The Yellow Party has been hyped up to be an evening of beauties, glitter and glamour, plus, it will be a great evening to be seen because L.A.’s top paparazzi are being honored that evening by the event organizers.
“We are overwhelmed with the support we have gotten from our community — the outstanding performers and talents, plus such a diverse list of sponsors and vendors — and it has inspired us a lot to share it with our unfortunate kababayans,” Gandi and Mutch proudly said.
