Going back home to Cebu always fills my heart with immense joy. I love seeing old familiar faces and catching up with people whom I haven’t seen in a while. It’s been a month since I’ve been back, but I continue to feel nostalgic for all the memories I gained. After a turbulent flight from LAX to Mactan-Cebu International Airport last December, certainly there was no better place to relax and unwind than at Plantation Bay Resort and Spa (www.plantationbay.com).
During my stay I was privileged to have lunch with resort Founder and CEO, Manny Gonzalez, and General Manager, Efren P. Belarmino. We dined at Savannah Grill, an American-themed restaurant inside the resort serving fast-food favorites with 5-star flair. . My aunt, Sue Bell of Bell Forest Products, Inc., also joined us. Later on I bumped into two very hardworking people and my former colleagues, Angela Panaguiton, the Front Office Manager, and Jimmy Martinez, the Assistant F&B Director. The Plantation Bay experience is never complete without a visit to Madame Luz, their resident psychic. I listened carefully as she read my palm, but there was one thing she wasn’t able to predict… my upcoming engagement!
Yes, love is definitely in the air, not just for me but for so many other couples out there. It’s not every day that siblings get engaged at the same time. In honor of this upcoming Valentine’s Day, let’s share the happiness of two brothers who decided to pop the question to their longtime loves over New Year’s Eve. Congratulations to these lovebirds!
